Americans don’t touch people a lot, but they shake hands with each other when they first meet or when they meet again. They smile a lot and say “Let’s have lunch”, but they aren’t being friendly --- they’re being polite. When two Americans are standing and talking, they don’t stay too close to each other. If they meet some friends on the street while they are with someone else, it is polite to introduce the person. Americans look people in the eye, but they think it’s rude to stare. Americans sound noisy because they speak loudly.
