One possible version:

      At present, a number of middle school students have picked up a bad habit--cheating in examinations.

      There are three main reasons. First, schools have given students too many examinations, some of which are too difficult. Second, some students are not diligent and they don't work hard at their lessons. More time is wasted playing games or surfing the Internet. Therefore, they haven't enough time to prepare for the exams. Third, students have to do so to satisfy their parents and teachers.

     In my opinion, cheating in exams should be forbidden because it not only goes against the school rules but also does great harm to students. "No pains, no gains." We students are supposed to be honest and hardworking, only in this way can we improve our study and make progress. Besides, our teachers should offer fewer examinations and severely punish those who cheat in the examinations.
