Our government is trying hard to build an energy-saving society. It is somebody’s duty to work hard and reach this goal. However, not everybody has realized the important of it. Take our school for example. Sometime we can see that lights and computers are still on after class. Some students even forget to turn off the tap after using it and have water running all the time. Our papers are primed on only one side, caused much waste. It’s time we did something to avoid this kind of waste. Firstly, make sure that all the light and other electric facilities turned off when we leave the rooms. Try to forming the habit of turning off the tap immediate after using it What’s more, papers should not be printed on both sides and reused if possible. In a word, if everybody reduce the waste and takes action, we can contribute to our society.

On November 12, 2017, the student in our class paid visit to China Science and Technology Museum.

At 8: 00, we left to China Science and Technology Museum by bus. At 8:30, a guide introduced it to us briefly and told us that what we should pay attention to during we visit. Ten minutes late, we began our visit. Some students took notes carefully as they visited. All the students were amazing at the rapidly achievements in science and technology. Three hours has gone by before we knew it. At 11: 30, we returned to our school.

How time flies! I’m very glad to hear you again. You want to know which is going on in schools in China. In the word, everything has changed. Every school take part in the campaign of reducing learning load. In the past, I used to studying until 11: 30 on weekends. But now I can arrange things of my own, such as readme books, visiting museums, or take computer lessons on weekends. In the evening I can watch news on the TV, or read newspapers. What’s more, my parents support me. They think because I am a student, I don’t have to study all day long. I think the idea of reducing learning load was well accepted by everyone.

Music is an important part in my life, and I even can't live with it. Actual, my favourite music is American country music, such as "Take Me Home, Country Roads". It mixed some modern melodies; it sounds very nice and pure. Whenever I am in troubles, the soft melody will make me relaxing and forget all the problems.

I'm not interested in rock music. I think it is too loud and difficult for me to understand it! I can't stand the strong beat, that nearly makes me crazy!

【題目】South Africa’s Street Store doesn’t just help to clothe the homeless, but also gives them the shopping experience of choosing what they want. With the idea to give the homeless the same dignity as customers who can pay, the Street Store sets up their pop-up cardboard shop in Cape Town, inviting customers in need to browse through the offerings and choose an outfit for themselves from the hundreds of donated items at their will.

The Street Store displays a row of cardboard “hangers” (衣架), with boxes neatly arranged below each one. On the hangers hang shirts, T-shirts, trousers and dresses donated by the Cape Town public. In the boxes below, multiple pairs of shoes await a new owner. Street Store volunteers also act as store consultants, offering fashion advice to their customers as they try on chosen donated items.

The Street Store has already reached thousands in the Cape Town area, with over 1,000 satisfied homeless customers visiting on their first day in operation. The program gives the homeless not only a change to pick up some needed clothing, but also restores confidence by giving them a retail experience—even when pocket money doesn’t allow it.
