【1】want后加to

【2】them it

【3】where which/that或去掉where。

【4】other others

【5】busy前的is was

【6】making made

【7】angrilyangry

【8】去掉on

【9】loudly loud

【10】difference different

want后接to do sth.

【2】them it;把them改為it此題考查代詞的用法。it指代a chocolate cake。

【3】where which/that或去掉where;把where改為which或that或劃掉此題考查定語從句中關(guān)系代詞的用法。

【4】other others;把other改為others此題考查代詞的用法。

【5】busy前的is was;把busy前的is改為was此題考查動詞時態(tài)。

【6】making made;把making改為made此題考查動詞的用法。

例如:小題5busy前的is was;把busy前的is改為was此題考查動詞時態(tài)。

例如:in my spare time, but now I am interesting in football. interested

Play football not only makes us grow up tall and strong but also playing

My parents love me and will do all they can make sure to

want后接to do sth.

They eager to know everything about China and were I live in Beijing, where is the capital of China. Which。

The Smiths did his best to make me feel at home. their例中的主語是Smiths(史密斯夫婦倆),因此后面的his不合邏輯。

【題目】Our spiritual intelligence quotient(精神智商),or SQ, helps us understand ourselves, and live fuller, happier lives.

Though we're all born with SQ, most of us don't even realize that we have it. Fortunately, you don't have to sign up for classes to learn how to improve your SQ. Here are some simple steps that can lead you to this new level of understanding.

Sit Quietly. The process of developing spiritual intelligence begins with solitude(獨處)and silence. To tune in to your spirit, you have to turn down the volume(強度)in your busy, noisy, complicated life and force yourself to do nothing at all. Start small by creating islands for silence in your day. In the car, instead of listening to the music, use the time to think. At work, shut the door to your office between meetings, take a few breaths and let them out very, very slowly. Enjoy the stillness in your home after the kids are finally in bed.

Step Outside. For many people, nature sets their spirit free. Go outside to watch a beautiful sunset. If you are walking with the dog, take the time to admire flowers in bloom; follow the flight of a bird and watch clouds float overhead.

Ask Questions of Yourself. Ask open-ended questions, such as "What am I feeling? What are my choices? Where am I heading?"

But don't expect an answer to arrive through some supernatural forms of e-mail. “Rarely do I get an immediate answer to my question,” says Reverend Joan Carter, a Presbyterian minister in Sausalito, California. “But later that day I suddenly find myself thinking about a problem in a perspective I never considered before.”

Trust Your Spirit. While most of us rely on gut(本能的)feeling to realize danger, spiritual intelligence pushes us, not away from, but towards some action that will lead to a greater good..

【1】The passage is mainly about______.

A. what your SQ is and in what way it can benefit our life

B. what your SQ is and in what way it can be improved

C. the relationship between your SQ and your life

D. advantages and disadvantages of SQ

【2】The underlined phrase "to tune in to your spirit" in the third paragraph probably means to_________

A. get your spirit relaxed B. keep up your spirit

C. keep seated quietly D. change your spirit

【3】From the passage, we can know that the most important thing to improve your SQ is______

Every week in China, millions of people will sit in front of their TVs watching teenagers compete for the title Character Hero, which is a Chinese-style spelling bee(拼寫大賽). In this challenge, young competitors must write Chinese characters by hand. To prepare for the competition, the competitors usually spend months studying dictionaries.

Perhaps the show’s popularity should not be a surprise. Along with gunpowder and paper, many Chinese people consider the creation of Chinese calligraphy(書法)to be one of their primary contributions to civilization. Unfortunately, all over the country, Chinese people are forgetting how to write their own language without computerized help. Software on smart phones and computers allows users to type in the basic sound of the word using the Latin alphabet. The correct character is chosen from a list. The result? It’s possible to recognize characters without remembering how to write them.

But there’s still hope for the paint brush. China’s Education Ministry wants children to spend more time learning how to write.

In one Beijing primary school we visited, students practice calligraphy every day inside a specially decorated classroom with traditional Chinese paintings hanging on the walls. Soft music plays as a group of six-year-olds dip brush pens into black ink. They look up at the blackboard often to study their teacher’s examples before carefully attempting to reproduce those characters on thin rice paper. “If adults can survive without using handwriting, why bother to teach it now?” we ask the calligraphy teacher, Shen Bin. “The ability to write characters is part of Chinese tradition and culture,” she reasons. “Students must learn now so they don’t forget when they grow up.” says the teacher.

【1】 What can we learn about the Character Hero?

A. It’s open to people of all ages and all walks.

B. It’s the most-viewed TV programs in China.

C. It aims to spread Chinese culture to the world.

D. It draws great public attention across the country.

【2】Why are Chinese people forgetting how to write the characters?

A. Chinese people don’t refer to dictionaries very often.

B. Chinese people no longer use brush pens or practice calligraphy.

C. Chinese people are using the Latin alphabet instead of the characters.

D. Chinese people needn’t write by hand as often with the help of technology.

【3】According to Shen Bin, being able to write characters by hand is_________.

A. necessary for adults to survive in China

B. a requirement made by the Education Ministry

C. helpful to keep Chinese tradition and culture alive

D. an ability to be developed only when you are students

【4】Where does this text probably come from?

A. A news report. B. A science report.

C. An advertisement. D. Children’s literature.

This lovely poem was written by Emily Dickinson, who is considered a major American poet, though she was not accorded (符合) this honor until well after her death.

Emily Dickinson was born on December 10, 1830, in Amherst, Massachusetts. She attended school for only one year. Throughout her life, she seldom left her home and visitors were few. She lived in almost complete isolation(隔離) from the outside world.

She admired the poetry of Robert and Elizabeth Barren Browning, as well as John Keats. Though she was dissuaded (勸阻) from reading the poetry of her contemporary Walt Whitman by rumors of its disgracefulness, the two poets are now connected by the distinguished place they hold as the founders of a uniquely American poetic voice.

While Dickinson was extremely prolific (多產(chǎn)的) as a poet, she was not publicly recognized during her lifetime. Upon her death, Dickinson's family discovered forty hand-bound volumes of nearly 1,800 poems. Her younger sister began to share the enormous body of work that Emily left behind.

Emily's odd punctuation, capitalization(大寫), and formatting(格式) did not meet with standard publishing "approval" for earlier editions. There is a whimsical (古怪的) nature to many other poems, as the subject of death was the most frequent theme.

【1】 In the poem, the poetess was speaking to ______.

A. a little girl B. a long-lost family member

C. a nice season D. a cute animal

【2】What is a feature of Emily Dickinson's poems?

A. They do not pay attention to rhymes.

B. They resemble those of Walt Whitman.

C. They have a strange format.

D. They reflect her personal and social life.

【3】According to the text, Emily Dickinson _______.

A. was completely homeschooled and had a talent for writing poems

B. was greatly influenced by four of her contemporary poets

C. is regarded as a leading poet in American literature

D. published a large number of poems during her lifetime
