Then，in March，2017，many people in cities like Beijing and Shanghai received this kind of cellphone message：Come and ride our bike for free!These messages are part of the battle between two big bike-sharing companies Ofo and Mobike．Both of the companies are trying to attract more users and the competition is still going on．
Nowadays，most of the systems share several characteristics-bikes with low theft value，electronic docking stations，ranked（分級的） payment rates，smart phone operating systems-but different cities are trying different ways to make bike sharing work．Bike sharing is predicted to grow at a very fast pace，opening up to its users a new means of urban transportation．
