3I have got a headache.

5Shakespeare's play Hamlet_________(make)into at least ten different films over the past years.

1where

2without which

3have been working

4has shown

5has been made

故填where。

本句為介詞+關(guān)系代詞結(jié)構(gòu)的非限定性定語從句,先行詞the fishing industry,指物應(yīng)用關(guān)系代詞which,且根據(jù)“there won't be much work(不會(huì)有太多工作)句意可知此處為否定,即沒有漁業(yè)就沒有工作的含義。故填without which。

分析句子可知,工作這個(gè)動(dòng)作表示從過去某一時(shí)間開始一直延續(xù)到現(xiàn)在的動(dòng)作,所以要用現(xiàn)在完成進(jìn)行時(shí)態(tài)have been doing,且主語為you. 故填have been working。

故填has shown。

over the past years是現(xiàn)在完成時(shí)的標(biāo)志,且因?yàn)?/span>戲劇《哈姆雷特》制作之間是被動(dòng)關(guān)系,因此應(yīng)用現(xiàn)在完成時(shí)的被動(dòng)語態(tài)。 故填has been made。

現(xiàn)在完成時(shí)通常表示過去的動(dòng)作對(duì)現(xiàn)在造成的影響,其結(jié)構(gòu)是have/has done,常見的時(shí)間標(biāo)志詞有:already, yet, so far, up to/till now, since, in/during/over the past/last +一段時(shí)間。

例如:

Great changes have taken place in our country in the past decades.

I have not seen you since we last met each other.

Bushfires in Australia are a natural part of the country’s ecosystem.3Even New South Wales, with the largest population, is used to breaking out. In 1974, fires burned 3.5 million hectares, and in 2003, another 2 million hectares were lost to fire. But the fires that started in 2019 are even worse:4.9 million hectares in New South Wales have burned alreadyand it’s only going to grow.

One of the most influential is the Indian Ocean Dipole(偶極子), or the IOD. The IOD is a big temperature gradient that affects the surface water in the Indian Ocean, from the edge of Africa to the edge of Australia.

The little boy

A little boy selling magazines for school walked up to a house that people rarely visited. The house was very old and shabby and the owner hardly ever came out. When he did come out, he would not say hello to his neighbors or passers-by but simply just glare at them.

The boy knocked on the door and waited, sweating from fear of the old man. The boy’s parents told him to stay away from the house, and a lot of the other neighborhood children were told the same thing from their parents.

Dust found the boy lingering on and hesitating what to do. As he was ready to walk away, the door slowly opened. “What do you want?” the old man said impatiently. The little boy was very afraid but he had a quota(份額) to meet for school with selling the magazines. So he got up the courage and said, “Uh, sir, I am selling these magazines and uh, I was wondering if you would like to buy one from me.”

The old man just stared at the boy without a word. The boy could see inside the old man’s house and saw that he had dog figurines(小雕像) on the fireplace mantle. “Do you collect dogs?” The little boy asked. “Yes, I have many collections in my house. They are my family here and they are all I have.” The boy then felt sorry for the man, as it seemed that he was a very lonely soul.

“Well, I do have a magazine here for collectors. It is perfect for you. I also have one about dogs since you like dogs so much.” The old man was ready to close the door on the boy and said, “No, boy. I don’t need any magazines of any kind, now goodbye.”

The little boy was sad that he was not going to make his quota with the sale. He was also sad for the old man being so alone in the house that he owned. The boy went home and then had an idea. He had a little dog figurine that he got some years ago from an aunt. The figurine did not mean nearly as much to him since he had a real live dog and a large family.

The little boy headed back down to the old man’s house.
