When Mr Rabbit heard that Mr Wolf had sent almost all his friends away just because they swatted at the mosquitoes in his house, he decided to see for himself what was going on.
One night, he went and knocked at Mr Wolf's door. When she heard the knocking, Ida, who was Mr Wolf's special friend, that lived with him and his sister, Miss Wolf, looked 1 the looking glass on the door. She said, “It's Mr Rabbit. I hear he's a real 2 . I just hope Mr Wolf doesn't 3 .”

Mr Rabbit raised his foot and slapped the side of his face where a mosquito had landed, and no sooner did he do that than another mosquito landed on his leg. But Mr Rabbit just 15 not to notice the mosquitoes. He continued, “poor old granddaddy. He looked so funny with all those spots. He had one on the side of his head like I showed you, and he had one right here,” and he slapped his 16 .
