Some people hold that taking a part-time job has advantages．It can help students make some pocket money to meet their daily needs and thus develop a sense of independence．And it can improve their social communication skills．They can build up new friendship and gain working experience as well，which is helpful to their growth．
However，other people think it still has some disadvantages．If a student spends too much time doing part-time job，he or she will certainly fail to concentrate on study．Some students may be cheated or hurt by their employers，because they don't know how to protect themselves．Besides，their early contact with society adds greater worries to their parents．
In my opinion，I am in favor of taking a part-time job．But we have to keep a balance between part-time job and study．After all，study is our main task at school．
