【題目】 When Jen Harris was laid off from her job at MPC Computers in Idaho last October, she tweeted the message “just been laid off from MPC”, “By the time I left the parking lot, I had a job offer from a friend that had a Web development company in town, “ she told CNNMoney.

It’s difficult to know how many people are actually finding work this way. But it’s obvious from interviews with job-seekers, employers, coaches and managers that the Twitter phenomenon is fundamentally changing the way people search for jobs.

“A lot of companies aren’t advertising jobs in traditional ways,” says Jason Rivera, a graphic artist who teamed up with other San Francisco Twiners “to lead the pink-slip party (失業(yè)聚會(huì)) movement” for the networking messes. Rivera says Twitter allows companies to easily “follow” potential candidates online, while giving job hunters a backdoor peek at companies where they may be interested in applying for a job.

“It’s a great way to get up-to-the-minute information about a company and its latest products,” Rivera says, “as well as give you a shot at actually talking to a hiring manager on Twitteras opposed to having your e-mailed resume end up as the 500th in his in-box. At the same time, Twitter gives managers faster, more efficient ways to get through the mess, and that save them money.”

Paul Mabray knows that firsthand. As a chief strategy officer for Napabased VinTank, a wine industry think tank (智囊團(tuán)),he used Twitter to spot and then practically “follow’’ the 23-year-old job candidate and gifted Twitter, Ashley Bellview. “We got to learn about her personality, her work ethic and her thought process by the information she’d linked to in her tweets and by how she communicated with other people on Twitter,” Mabray says.

【題目】 Why do you run? Different people have different reasons. Whatever your reason is, there’s one thing we can be sure of: Running is much better injury-free. In his book, Dr. Jordan Metzl’s Running Strong, Metzl has the perfect suggestions for enjoying your running without losing your well-being (健康). Here are five must-follow rules for injury-free running:

Train for your level of fitness and your goals.

Don’t run more miles than your body can deal with. If you run for fitness and your goal is about 30 minutes a day, that’s cool. But if you are just starting out, 1

Wear the right shoes for your feet.

You will hear lots of opinions about whether running shoes really help prevent injury and whether you should even wear them. 2 And some of you may need a little added assistance from inserts (鞋墊).

3

Be honest about how much sleep you need and stick to it. The cool runner is the one who wins the race. Sleep will get you there.

Fuel (提供能量) your body right for running and recovery.

4 And after a workout or race, you need to deliver nutrients to all the body rebuilders in your muscles, so they can do their job and get you back into tip-top shape for your run tomorrow.

Pay attention to pain.

When pain changes the way you run, stop running. 5 And use dynamic rest (動(dòng)態(tài)休息) to stay in shape until you are back on your running feet.

A. Get seven to eight hours of sleep every night.

B. Try to find out what is going on and treat the pain.

C. you need to get there slowly.

D. Running should be seen as fun rather than pain.

E. It is because of the health benefits, including lowering your risk of disease.

F. The right running shoes can help correct foot-movement problems that lead to injury.

G. A good pre-run meal plan is one that keeps you stepping strong.

【題目】閱讀下面短文,根據(jù)其內(nèi)容寫(xiě)一篇 60 詞左右的內(nèi)容概要。

Two years ago, Li Yuhua's daughter taught her how to shop online. Since then, the 51-year-old farmer in Wushan has been a regular online shopper. Shoppers like Li Yuhua are the new target for China's ecommerce giants, including Alibaba Group, which operates the Taobao platform, and JD.com. Rural China added 3 million more Internet users in the first half, taking the total number to 225 million, or 26.3%, of the country's total Internet population of 854 million, according to a report on rural ecommerce development released last week by the China International Electronic Commerce Center. That helped improve rural online sales in the first half of the year by 21% to 777.1 billion yuan (US$109.6 billion), outpacing the national growth rate by 3.2 percentage points.

'However, it is a little bit early to say that China's ecommerce battlefield is moving to rural China, ' said Chen Tao, a senior analyst at consultancy Analysys. Unlike urban residents, most rural Chinese haven’t experienced ecommerce shopping. While that provides online platforms with one of the last undeveloped markets for ecommerce, progress has been slow due to the lack of infrastructure(基礎(chǔ)設(shè)施)and logistics(物流)support.

To address that problem, China's second-largest ecommerce operator, JD.com hired more deliverymen and tested drone(無(wú)人機(jī)) delivery services to improve service in rural China. Alibaba Group, China's largest ecommerce player, announced in April last year that it had invested US$717 million in Huitongda Network Co., which helps to boost sales in 15,000 towns across 18 provinces.

Another inhibiting factor in the development of rural ecommerce is the income gap. In 2018, annual per capita disposable income(人均可支配收入)in rural areas was 14,600 yuan (US$2,065) compared with 39,300 yuan (US$5,559) in cities. 'Lower disposable incomes in rural areas limit the consumption,' said analyst Chen. 'It also takes time to educate rural residents to accept ecommerce services as most of them are new to online. There is still a long way to go to popularize online shopping in rural China.'

【題目】 One of the most fundamental changes brought about in the last decade is the rise of remote learning. With the global climate crisis and health pandemics, remote learning has become even more relevant today. Schools, universities and corporates can continue affording education and training by remote technology in the time of social distancing due to the COVID-19 crisis. 1

Learn Anywhere, Anytime

Gone is the need to be on campus at a specific time of day and remain there for the duration of numerous classes. 2. More importantly, it has also made learning a practical choice for many rural communities who are unable to travel the vast distances to school every day and to remote teams working for companies located afar.

3

When it comes to learning, one size doesn’t fit all People have varied learning styles that change depending on the nature of the content they are trying to absorb. E-Learning allows learners to personalize their education, focusing on areas that need greater attention in more detail. Also, rather than being a one-way path where the learner listens and takes in information, online training means that learners can pursue areas that interest them in more detail.

Better Engagement

Keeping learners engaged throughout the training is one of the key struggles. One of the strengths of E-Learning is the diverse nature in which the course content is delivered. 4 Some online learning communities allow trainers to provide multimedia recording to make training more engaging. With the game engine, they also have the option to gamify content and include rewards once sections are completed for young employees and fresh graduates who might have just passed out from school and are still transitioning to the corporate world. 5

A.E-Learning gives people the flexibility to be able to learn at home, anytime they want.

B.Personalized Learning Experience

C.Learn more in detail

D.Learners are now used to and expect interactivity.

E.Nearly 30 percent of learners, or more than six million students, having taken at least one course online.

F.Overall, there are a few core reasons to opt (選擇) for remote learning.

G.Quizzes, polls, and discussion boards also mean trainees get to discuss content and interact with one another.
