【題目】根據(jù)短文理解,選擇正確答案。
Jayson McCarthy, 12, was born without fingers on his left hand. That didn't stop him from being able to do many tasks. But Jayson could not grasp more than one object at a time. So Jayson 's father, Paul, created a Prosthesis(假肢), using a 3D printer. Now Jayson has fingers that open and close. “It was a do-it-yourself, father-and-son adventure,” says Paul.
When Jayson was a baby, his doctor advised his parents not to give him a prosthetic hand until he was in his early teens. “The doctor said Jayson should first learn to get full use out of the hand he was born with,” says Paul. As Jayson got older, his father looked into purchasing a prosthetic hand, which can cost as much as $30,000. Paul found a more affordable solution.
One day, Paul discovered a video on the Internet about Robohand, a prosthesis created with a 3D printer. He downloaded the free instructions and called Robohand's creators for advice. They told him all he needed was a 3D printer—which costs around $2,000—and some materials.
Luckily, Jayson 's school had recently purchased a 3D printer and it offered to help Paul build the hand for Jayson n. “We used a soccer shinguard(護(hù)脛), cardboard(硬紙板), and tape. They cost about $10,” says paul.
With his new hand, Jayson can do things better. “I can help my mom more, because now I can carry two grocery bags,” he says.
Jayson 's father has already built several hands for Jayson. Jayson helps design each one. He says there's one thing in particular that he wants to do with a future prosthesis. “The goal,” he says, “is to be able to tie my shoelaces(鞋帶).”
(1)Why did Jayson 's doctor disapprove of(不贊成) his using a prosthesis in his childhood?
A.The prosthetic technology was underdeveloped then.
B.A prosthesis was very expensive at that time.
C.To use the disabled hand was important.
D.The original hand could do many tasks.
(2)Jayson 's father managed to get Jayson a new hand by ________.
A.collecting money on the Internet
B.buying a prosthetic hand
C.buying a 3D printer
D.printing a hand

Maybe you are an ordinary student. This is not necessarily so. Anyone can become a better student if he or she wants to. Here's how:
Plan your time carefully. When planning your work, you should make a list of things that you have to do. After making this list, you should make a schedule of your time. First arrange your time for eating, sleeping, dressing, etc, then decide a good, regular time for studying. A weekly schedule may not solve all your problems, but it will force you realize what is happening to your time.
Make good use of your time in class. Listening carefully in class means less work later. Taking notes will help you remember what the teacher says.
Study regularly. When you get home from school, go over your notes, review the important points that your teacher is going to discuss the next day, read that material. If you do these things regularly, the material will become more meaningful, and you will remember it longer.
Develop a good attitude towards tests. The purpose of a test is to show what you have learned about a subject. The world won't end if you don't pass a test, so don't be over worried.
You will probably discover many others after you have tried these.
A. This will help you understand the next class.
B. You probably think you will never be a top student.
C. Don't forget to set aside enough time for entertainment.

【題目】根據(jù)短文理解,選擇正確答案。
I am a volunteer. I set out to help clean up the beach after a violent storm a year ago. The sight I saw was heartbreaking. The broken houses seemed to be crying. I couldn't describe how I felt. But something special among the debris (廢墟) turned my day around.
I joined a club to clean up the beach after the storm last November. As I removed the debris from the beach, I noticed an object with shiny buttons in the wet sand. It was a jacket, and I was excited since Halloween(萬圣節(jié)) was coming and I thought I had found a great costume(戲服). After picking it up, I was able to see that the jacket was from West Point (西點(diǎn)軍校), the United States Military Academy, and it had the name “deGavre” written inside. I realized the jacket might be important to someone. I decided to find the jacket's owner and return it.
I called the West Point Museum, considering that if the family couldn't be found, the jacket should go there. The museum connected me with Kim McDermott, Director of Communications for the Academy's Association of Graduates. Kim soon ensured that the jacket had belonged to Chester Braddock deGavre, who was a 1933 graduate and a war hero, but passed away in 1993.
I sent Kim a photo of the jacket and she posted it to the West Point Association of Graduates Facebook Page, asking if anyone could help us find the family. In less than two hours, someone had found and called the hero's wife, Teresa. Soon I started to receive personal messages from members of the deGavre family, their friends and others who were touched by the story and they found me on Facebook.
Finding Chester deGavre's jacket and connecting to his family with the help of Facebook have been so meaningful to me. I've formed a bond(紐帶) with amazing people I might have never met.
