There are so many people in the room that it is very noisy.

such…that

such為形容詞，修飾名詞

It was such a warm day that we all went swimming.

when/while/as

三者作“當(dāng)時(shí)”講，引導(dǎo)時(shí)間狀語(yǔ)從句，表示一段時(shí)間時(shí)可以互換（從句動(dòng)詞用延續(xù)性動(dòng)詞）

When/While/As we was looking for her watch,she just stood there.

表示一點(diǎn)時(shí)間時(shí)，when和as可互換（從句動(dòng)詞為終止性動(dòng)詞）

Dad was having supper when/as I got home.

如果when在意義上與before或after相當(dāng)，則不用while,as

The film had begun when we arrived.
