20、"Global (全球的) warming is causing hundreds of animals and plants to die or change more quickly than scientists thought,  a new study shows.

     Scientists are surprised at how fast the things are happening. "I feel as if the world is changing in front of our eyes," said Douglas, a professor at a university of New York. "It is not just down the road somewhere. It is just running toward us now."

     The study reports that at least 70 kinds of frogs (青蛙)have disappeared. It also says that between 100 and 200 kinds of animals living in cold places, such as penguins and polar (極地) bears, are in serious danger.
