At around 11:00 a.m. people begin to go home. She is sleepy from waking up so early. Her mother has sold most of what they brought to the market. The will leave the market with less food in their boat but with more money for Lamai’s family.

It was March 8th, Women’s Day. I decided to do something for my mom and give her a surprise.

Immediately after school, I went to the supermarket, when I bought plenty of vegetables, fish and meat. As soon as I arrived home, I started to prepare the dinner for Mom. It was the first time that I had cooked something on my own. Not knowing the exactly process to cook. I read some recipes first. Keep what I had learned in mind, I got down with cooking. Almost an hour later, three simple but delicious dishes were ready on the table.

Since Mom couldn’t get home until thirty minutes later, I started to do some cleaning. It was not difficult for me. Mopping thoroughly, the floor was quite clean.

No sooner had everything been ready Mom came back. I couldn’t wait to show what I had been done for her. A big smile with both surprise and satisfy spread on Mom’s face when she found the hearty(豐盛的) dinner and the tidy room. At that moment, pride rose from a bottom of my heart. Although she fell a little tired, everything was worthwhile.

Growing up, I didn’t have much ambition and I was wasted a lot of time on video games. One day, with no reason I picked up a book, that was about seven habits of highly successful teenagers. We don’t remember much about the story, but one key concept that true impressed me was the idea of time. The book stressed the importance of use our time wisely. I know it sounds crazily, but during that time I was aimless person. However, after I read that book, I made a decision to spend as many time as possible just reading. My mother has a pair of eye which can speak. Whatever I meet difficulties, her eyes will encourage me and cheer me up. When I began learning to walk, Mom always lend me a hand and encouraged me to stand up when I fell down. As I final threw myself into her arms, her eyes smiled by praise. After I started the school, Mom’s eyes still encouraged myself. When I failed my English exam, Mom helped me find out the reasons instead punishing me. Now I have grown up and become independence.
