Come and see Gee Whizz perform. He’s the funniest stand-up comedian on the comedy scene. This joyful show will please everyone, from the youngest to the oldest. Gee Whizz really knows how to make you laugh! Our bar is open from 7：00pm for drinks and snacks(快餐).

Simon’s Workshop

5：00pm–7：30pm Wednesdays at Victoria Stage

This is a good chance for anyone who wants to learn how to do comedy. The workshop looks at every kind of comedy, and practices many different ways of making people laugh. Simon is a comedian and actor who has 10 years’ experience of teaching comedy. His workshops are exciting and fun. An evening with Simon will give you the confidence to be funny.

Charlotte Stone

8：00pm–11：00pm Pizza World

Fine food with beautiful jazz music; this is a great evening out. Charlotte Stone will perform songs from her new best-selling CD, with James Pickering on the piano. The menu is Italian, with excellent meat and fresh fish, pizzas and pasta(面食). Book early to get a table. Our bar is open all day, and serves cocktails, coffee, beer, and white wine.

One of those bad life's experiences for Shelley happened three years ago when her brother Brad was killed in a drunk driving accident. He was 18. She found writing helped her get through the rough days. She said, "I write a lot about my brother. I write a lot, a lot, a lot..."
As Miss Louisiana Teen, she traveled around the state speaking to teens about the dangers of drinking and driving. In her role as Miss Teen USA, Shelley will continue to speak to youth about safe driving, in addition to many other things to help the youth.
When AT asked Miss Teen USA if she had any advice for our readers, she said, "Don't let anyone change you. Hang out with people that make you feel good about yourself. That way, it is easy to be yourself."

Tu Youyou, the first Chinese Nobel Prize winner in medicine, who was born in 1930 in Zhejiang Province. She won the prize for his amazing contribution to the development of artemisinin (青蒿素), a highly effective treatment for malaria.（瘧疾）Her story is considered an inspired one.
In the last century, many people suffered from malaria, a dead disease which took away many lives every year. So Tu was determined to find a cure with it. She worked as hard as she could, asked for neither fame or fortune. Eventually, her efforts paid off. Tu and her team discovered artemisinin in 1971, that proved an effective medicine for treating malaria. Since then millions of lives had been saved across the globe. Tu's successful story tells us that only if we are determined we go on the road to success.

On November 12, 2017, the student in our class paid visit to China Science and Technology Museum.
At 8:00, we left to China Science and Technology Museum by bus. At 8:30, a guide introduced it to us briefly and told us that what we should pay attention to during we visit. Ten minutes late, we began our visit. Some students took notes carefully as they visited. All the students were amazing at the rapidly achievements in science and technology. Three hours has gone by before we knew it. At 11:30, we returned to our school.

Last Friday, Just before the 66th National Day holiday, I conducted interview with James Watson, a famous American scientist, talk about how to become a successful scientist. On his opinion, to be a scientist, we needed to be very fond of science. What's most, we have to keep practicing as well as learn from other successful scientist. If we want to be a successful one, besides hard-working, we are supposing to set up for a clear goal as well.
