Brisbane is a river city, although close to the coast, with the Brisbane River running through it. It is surrounded by hills and full of bridges. It is also very easy to get to a number of attractions such as the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast from Brisbane.

Brisbane has a number of theatres including the Lyric Theatre, Cremorne Theatre and the Playhouse Theatre which are part of the Queensland Performing Arts Centre in South Bank.

The area of South Bank is popular with visitors and locals especially for its relaxed parkland and manmade beach area which is popular with all ages. During the evening this area is very popular for romantic walks and the many shows.

Another place that is very popular with visitors especially young people is the suburb(郊區(qū)) of Fortitude Valley. It is home to the amazing Chinatown, great restaurants, popular nightclubs and bars and so on. It's not a suburb for those who like peace and quiet.

Brisbane is a great place to cycle, with wonderful cycle tracks(自行車道) near and along the river. If you get tired along the way, you can always get on a bus or the City Cat (central area transport service). You can take a bus with your bike. But you'd better avoid the time of day when most people are traveling to or from work, because you won't be allowed on with a bike at that time.

Geothermal energy does not depend on the world’s economic and political situation as strongly as fossil fuels do. Besides, extracting（提煉）fossil fuels adds to the price of energy produced from them. Therefore, geothermal energy is much cheaper than traditional ones, saving up to 80% of the costs over fossil fuels.

Being a renewable resource, geothermal energy produces less waste and pollution than traditional energy sources. In geothermal systems, carbon dioxide makes up about 10% of air produced. Overall, in order to produce the electricity that can be used for one hour, the geothermal systems produce 0.1 pound of carbon dioxide and other harmful gases. Low costs is another reason why using geothermal power plants should be the first choice for many countries. Geothermal heat systems require 25% to 50% less energy for work compared with the traditional systems for heating or cooling. Ludwig van Beethoven(1770-1827)

Holidays are happy days with pleasure and delicious foods. Many people, however, are worried about the weight that comes along with the delicious foods.
