Every year the two universities take part in a boat race in London. The first of these was held a long time ago, in 1829. Since then Cambridge has won 79 races and Oxford has won 74.

Of all the British Prime Minister (首相) through history, 40 out of 55 went to Oxbridge. Oxbridge is the word used to describe Oxford and Cambridge together. Oxford is winning this competition, with 26 prime mininters. Only 14 went to Cambridge.

Eighty-three people linked(與……有關(guān)系)with Cambridge have won a Nobel Prize. This is more than the 47 Oxford can boast(吹噓).

Cambridge has a better record in science. Famous students and teachers include Isaac Newton Charles Darwin and Stephen Hawking . Oxford has produced a lot of famous politicians, like former US President Bill Clinton and former British Prime Minister Tony Blair.

By taking their battle onto the Internet , it seems that Oxford and Cambridge will be continuing their 750-year-long competition a while longer.
